Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan) or 200°C (conventional).
- Using a knife, carefully cut the block of ramen noodles in half.
- Season the tomato sauce with basil or oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Spread 4 tablespoons of the sauce on the bottom of a 0.6 L gratin dish.
- Place one half of the ramen block into the dish. Spread mascarpone cheese over it evenly.
- Top with another 4 tablespoons of the tomato sauce, then place the second ramen block on top.
- Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the top and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the center of the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
You can swap mascarpone with ricotta for a lighter version. Feel free to add some sautéed vegetables between the layers for extra nutrition.
